Inspiring through beauty || The sky

Perfect Sky Perfect Cloud

  {Day FIVE}
For our last challenge I suggest we take a look at the biggest "thing" - (if you could call it - that surrounds us, the sky. Blue, grey, white, purple, green are all colors you could see in the sky.

Aside of the colors there are a lot more forms, shapes and objects to see in the sky. You can choose to pay attention to one thing, or just the whole sky. It's up to you.

Today being the last day, take some time to put something on paper. No matter how much time you have, you can create something. The clouds create different forms in just a couple of seconds. You can too! If you have the time to create something bigger, do it!

Bonus: If you could it would also be nice to combine all the different inspirations in one creative project.

If you have not left a comment yet about your inspirations, you still have today to do it. Can't wait to hear how this challenge has helped you.

Inspiring through beauty || Manmade object

Don't Mess With My Red Stapler

  {Day FOUR}
Today's task is a bit broad. We are going to let ourselves be inspired through Manmade objects. These are everyday things that we see around us. Here are the steps:

o Find an object (must be something you have not studied before)
o Take some time to study it. Look at its shape, colors, identify the basic forms in it.
o Let it inspire you to do something creative

This is quite an easy task, as we are surrounded with manmade objects. Be creative!

Inspiring through beauty || People

I dunno!

  {Day THREE}
If you know me personally, you would know how much I love babies and toddlers. Even if I don't know them I could spend hours just staring at them. Their careless way moving, laughing and going about their business inspires me not to stress too much about life. But this challenge is not about the things you already know inspires you.

So today try to find inspiration in a person that has never inspire you before. Your grumpy boss is an example. It does not have to be your enemy or someone that you don't like, but you must find something that you have never thought about before in someone.

When you found your inspiration, think of how you can apply that to your creative process. It could completely change the way you create new things. Please share with us how you are going to do so.

Inspiring through beauty || Architecture

  {Day TWO}
Have you taken the time to study the design of your house? You probably have many times, but there must be a house/building on your every tracks that you have never paid attention to. Maybe it's because its design does not appeal to you at all, interestingly enough even there you could find something to inspire you.

It could be the rusty doors texture like we saw in this post. Even if the place you have chosen does not have anything that inspire you, you could spend some time thinking why it does not inspire you. What are the things that you would change? What can you learn never to apply on your house? If you really like the house you could think of the opposite, what are the things that you could apply to your house?

Inspiring through beauty || Nature

  {Day ONE}
What best way to get inspired than nature? It is the first thing most think about when thinking about inspiration. For some this is easier than others. If you have a nice house by the beach or work in a nature reserve, you don't need to look far to see nature. But if you are not that lucky, you can spend some time looking at a tree nearby, someone's garden, birds or ants, just to name a few.

Look out for how it this piece of nature (except the sky) blend in to the things around it. Check out the colors, functionality and it's reason for being there.

Then take some time to think of how you do something creative with it in mind. Maybe a little doodle, or a bigger project perhaps. It is up to you, but make sure you spend 5-10 minutes thinking of how you can do something.

Inspiring through beauty

inspiration board
Inspiration board by nikkipeterson
What are the things that inspire you to create? Seeing your neighbor's garden, looking into your lover’s eyes or clouds? We all get inspired differently. Our sources of inspiration have to do with who we are, where we come from, amongst a list of different factors. Most of the time we have an idea of the things that inspire us, and usually stick with these when we need some inspiration. I can assure you that there are more ways for you to get inspired.

In the coming week I will be hosting a series named "Inspiring Through Beauty". It is a challenge for all of us to get inspired in ways that we are not familiar with. Does this mean you need to take the whole day off to find inspiration? No, it means you just need to keep your eyes open for the inspirations that are there right in front of you. This way you will not only see it during this week, but also in the days, weeks, years, decades and centuries (if you live for that long) after .

The comment section
For the Inspiring through beauty series the comment section will serve as a sort of forum. There I would ask everyone participating to leave comments, remarks, feedback and how you implemented the challenge for that day. Leave a comment here if you are participating.

We will kick off next week with EXTREME MONDAY as usual, the first Inspiring through beauty post will be on Tuesday. Please spread the word through blog posts, Twitter, Facebook and any other way. The more participants we have, the more fun it will be. See you on Monday!
