Creative Highlight: Elegant Paper Tree

It's Tuesday! That means it is time to Highlight another creative project. I am still in awe of how my first DIY turned out.

Today's project is a decorative piece that can be casual, but can also be very elegant. It is officially called the " Scrap Paper Tree Centerpiece Tutorial" by Two Girls Being Crafty (via Everyday Mom Ideas)

Material list:
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Branches
  • Floral Wire
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Cardboard/cardstock/chipboard
  • Vase or Pot to place your branches in
  • Newspaper

All you have to do is make the little small leaves as symmetrical as possible. Than making a sandwich with two leaves and the wire glued in the middle. Last but not least, wrap the wire against the branches and place them in your vase.

If you need more details, just head on to this link to get the full DIY.

Creative Highlights: Panning

*If you have your own DIY project, contact me at inspire@live.com to get featured on Creative Highlights.
Panning is the Creative Highlight for this week. If that makes you think of photography, you're in the right arena. I learned to do this via Daily Window. Can't wait to try it out myself.

Now from the outcome it may seem like you need a fancy DSLR to achieve it, but apparently it can even be achieved with an iPhone. So grab your camera (or phone) and go some place where you find a moving object or person.

Basically all you have to do is:

  • choose a shutter mode (if that option is available)
  • start following your object
  • press the shutter
  • continue following your object with your camera

Easy right? If you need to get all of the nitty gritty details of how to get this done, you can just click here and it will take you to the original post. Happy Panning!

Creative Highlight: Dry Erase Picture Frame

This blog was started to inspire me and you to incorporate more creativity into our lives. So far I have been inspired much and have put some of it into practice. But it is time to take it to another level. This is the idea behind Creative Highlights.

So every Tuesday I will showcase an easy DIY project that we could make for that week. If you end up doing it, you can share about it in the comment section. Are you a blogger? I would encourage you to write about it and add your post below.

We're kicking things off with a Dry Erase Picture Frame from The Creative Place. I completely fell in love with this blog after reading it recently. This board is easy to make. All you need is:

  •  a picture frame
  • paint
  • paintbrush
  • old piece of paper
  • dry erase marker and a piece of cloth
I guess you are already realizing how easy the process is. Head on to the post to get more details on how to make it happen.
