Long gone are the days when we used these to communicate with our loved ones. Depending on your age, you might still remember them. Though I'm not that old, I can still recall asking my mom how to use it at my grandparents house.
Once on a sitcom they were joking and said that if you had to dial 911 with one of these, the person would be dead before you finish dialing. That may be true, but they are still so intricately cute.
The particular vintage phone on the image has been restored by Russel Johnson Imports and then repainted in this retro hue of yellow. It's a bit of a splurge for a land-line phone with the price of $198.
