A Crazy Idea

YES! It has been a while since I wrote a post. Quite frankly I thought about completely giving up blogging a couple of times. At times it gets quite time consuming and you don't always see that people actually read it. But after coming across this video, I had to post it.

Jasmine Star is a self taught wedding photographer that has become very popular for her work. You can check out some of her awesome photography at her blog.

This blog is just one of my crazy ideas. If you didn't know people from my island are not very familiar with blogging. I don't have much of an audience with those around me. Nonetheless this blog has connected me with people that have inspired me beyond what I could inspire myself with a blog about inspiration. So I'm back everyone!

Challenge Others To Be Creative

Paint Splash

You know that I am always trying to challenge your creativity. But what about the creativity of those around you. The people that always think inside the box and continue to do things in a "safe" way?  In the post "How to prompt creativity in people around you" on Creative Something there are some tips that are worth highlighting.

The reason I believe this is important is because I am sure that we all know somebody that are not willing to do anything creative. They even laugh when we try to do something different. At times this could get very frustrating. Especially if it is someone close. So the way to get them out of this cycle according to Creative Something is to have them ask critical questions.

An easy question to ask is: “What’s the worst that could happen if we tried something new?”. This will get them to think. Than there are additional things you could say like "Let's give it a try just this once" or "If it turns out wrong, I will be fully responsible for it".

The thing about it is that many times we fear things that barely ever happen. Now I am not saying that you should go splash paint around your friends room if you know that it is not her style. Start with something small, like splashing paint on a piece of paper and tell her to hang it up in her room if she likes it. Maybe in time she will splash her wall all by herself.

So ask yourself who are you going to challenge and what would be your creative idea.

Inspired to dream BIG

Dropping by one of my favorite blogs 'Design For Mankind' I was inspired to dream BIG. This blog was originally started as just an adventure to get more involved in creative things. In the past few months it has not only inspired me to be creative, but it has also inspired others. Something I am very more than happy to do. Even though the blog states that it is here to inspire the world in some ways I did not believe I was capable of doing so. Until today.

Erin's post called "cheers to a cool project" speaks about dreaming big. She challenges bloggers and business owners to go big using social media and giveaways. This is something I will seriously take as a challenge to take InspirU CooCoo to another level.

Exciting new things will be happening here very soon. My head is loaded with ideas, so stay tuned to get even more inspired. Subscribe to the blog, add me on Twitter and don't forget Facebook. This way you can be sure not to miss out on the great stuff that's coming.

What about you? What can you dream bigger on? Don't stop yourself from dreaming and don't only dream, put a deadline on them so they become goals.

The stairs everyone calls inspirational

After sharing the beautiful stairs in the Queen's House in London (check it out here) I started paying more attention to stairs. Recently I found the Holsteiner stairs on Pinterest.

As I searched the internet about these steps I found that many described it as "inspirational", can you disagree with them? It was painted by Horst Glasker and can be found in Wuppertal, Germany.

I joined Pinterest not too long ago and totally love it. If you have an account I would totally like to connect with you there. Also please share your link in the comment section so we can all share our pins.

PlanBig - In union there is strength

Have you watched this video already? If you haven't I really think you should. It was posted by Eline on  inspirationblog.nl. She is not very active at the moment, but have some great inspirational stuff on there.

Back to the video. PlanBig is summed up as "a website build as a resource to help online and offline communities plan and achieve real world outcomes". It is to me a great tool that many of us could benefit of.

Maybe your one of those that have one of these ideas. If you are, don't wait much longer, head on to the website and start making that idea come to life. While your at it, share this video with everyone you know. We need to help each other in achieving our ideas, whether big or small. Don't forget that:

"In union there is strength"

I have a few ideas that I believe could do great on PlanBig. Do you?

5 Tips on finding inspirational music

Club style woman with headphones listening to music looking at camera
Inspiring you to add more creativity in your life is what this blog is all about.  A great way to get inspired is through music, so I am dedicating this post on finding inspirational music to your life. Following are some tips from my own experience.

1. Get out of your comfort genre.  We all tend to stick to a particular genre that we really like. That is great, but if you are still listening to the same boy band from last decade, it might be time to change things up a little.

nuTsie has a series of Top 100 songs in different Genre, like a "Top 100 Beach Music" and "Top 100 Canadian Indie Songs".

For my US readers I highly recommend Pandora, there you can choose to listen to a particular genre or they can create a whole radio for you based on an artist or song. I used to use it all the time when I was living in the States, but it is only accessible there.

2. Check out what your friends are listening to. This can be as easy as just asking them. Other ways you can do this is by checking out what they are posting on Facebook or Twitter. There are also some people that use  Ping on iTunes, some post what they're listening to on Skype, while others blog about it. So keep your eyes (and ears) open to the music your friends are into.

3. Free iTunes downloads. Sites like iT's FreeDownloads lists all the songs that are free on iTunes. Occasionally they also have a whole playlist of free music that you can download. By downloading on iTunes you can put the music on your iPod and listen to it anywhere. If by any chance you really don't like a song, you can just delete it (it was free anyway). Subscribe to their e-mail list so you can find out about the free music as soon as it is available.

“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.”4. International music. Bob Marley, Adele and Shakira are all international artists that have become popular all around the world. There are many other that make great music but never get to be as popular. Some of them because they sing in other languages, while others because they never got that break.

International or World music is a bit harder to find just because it is so extensive. National Geographic has a nice radio that highlights music from around the world. At Live365 you can choose International under Genres and find different kinds of radios. Generally though when it comes to international music it is about trying and finding out what is your type.

5. Grooveshark it! - After you've discovered all of this music you can search for them on Grooveshark and save them to a playlist. Grooveshark is not only good to listen to music for free, but it also let's you sign in and save your playlists. It is a great feature if you do not want to forget what you were listening to.

These are some of the tools I use to find my music. Hope they are also useful to you. What are you listening to lately?

*I am using Digg for the first time so if you could show some love on Digg would be awesome

Belgian vintage

Vintage interior is a Belgian company that combines 1940s to 1990s seating, storage, arts and lighting. Their 'Vintage interior' gallery is the most fascinating of it all.

Most of it all is wood, which gives it a very brown old feeling. Nonetheless there are some pieces that have more of a modern feel to them. Including some colors.

Their gallery might not be the exact setting of a home interior, but the way that it is designed is very appealing. Don't you think?

Inspirational Panyee FC team

We all have dreams. We all have things we want to achieve. We also have reasons why they are impossible to achieve. The Panyee FC team had enough reasons why they could never play soccer nor compete with another team. Nonetheless they never let those valuable reasons stop them.

Some say that Sunday is the first day of the week while others argue that it should be Monday. No matter which side your on, this video is posted to give you the inspiration for the new week. Whether it starts today or tomorrow. Have a great week!

Pay it forward

Maybe it is not the latest blockbuster or has it been made in the last decade, but 'Pay it forward' is a great inspirational movie. Tonight was my first time watching it. The movie is about helping those around you and influencing them to help those around them. This is what I try to do as much as I can in life. Do you?

Want to start inspiring others right away? Get a small group together to watch the movie. You never know how many people will be affected by it.

Just go for it!

There are times that we need inspiration in order to create something new. Other times inspiration just comes by putting something on paper. This picture is a reminder of this, at times we need to just go for it!
