Live Life

Here is a quote to get you started this week (not sure who came up with it):

"Taking time to live life will only inspire your work"
The picture is just one of the ones I uploaded today. I am really enjoying taking pictures with my camera. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Easy Wall Artwork that will keep you going

Found this on Pinterest (via Abyleys Golden). This will look good in many homes and it is quite easy to do. Get some old scrapes of wood, use some old paint and get your favorite words on there. There's a great chance this will be a creation for my room.

Aside from that these words are lovely.

Never Give Up!

Never give up.
After a plan fails, it is so easy to give up and never try again. This is actually what most people do after a disappointment. These people are not aware of the fact that the average entrepreneur fails two to three times before succeeding.

Failing Forward: Turning Mistakes into Stepping Stones for SuccessWhile spending some time reminiscing things that I have experienced in my life, I have realized the importance of not giving up. Somehow every great thing that I achieved came to a point where I was just about to give up. A point where it seems like everything fell through and it was not worth trying anymore. The good thing is that a while back I read a book called Failing Forward: Turning Mistakes into Stepping Stones for Success by John C. Maxwell. This book has completely changed my outlook on life. After reading it I passed it on to a friend, but luckily I found some of the quotes on a blog called Twice The Work.

A quote that I wanted to share was "If you always do what you've always done, then you will always get what you've always gotten." This is where creativity steps in. The quote is not an unfamiliar one, yet it is something all of us does more than often. So please take some time today, think of at least one thing in your life that you are not succeeding at and try to find a creative way to change it.

Here are some other quotes I loved about the book:

"Ninety percent of all those who fail are not actually defeated. They simply quit."                     Paul J. Meyer
"The fight to take responsibility occurs within. And rarely does talent, intelligence, or opportunity make the difference in whether a person wins that battle. It calls for character."    John Maxwell
"Sooner or later we get just what we expect."                                                                             Unknown

If you have not read the book as yet, I suggest you buy it and read it. Your outlook on life will never be the same.

So Pinteresting quotes

For a couple of days now I have been a lot into words. Watching 3 straight episodes of 'Platinum Hit' might have something to do with it.

While browsing through Pinterest I found Terri Thompson's board called 'Words to Love'. She has done a wonderful job assembling these cool quotes. The above one is just one of my favorites. So what are you waiting for, go check out the incredible words.

Life was meant to be lived

"Life was meant to be lived, and curiosity must be kept alive. One must never, for whatever reason, turn his back on life."

-Eleanor Roosevelt

I am back! So glad to be blogging again. My vacation time was great, had a lot of fun traveling all about. One of my favorite things to do if you don't know that about me by now.

Came across the above quote and thought it was worth sharing. It is some thought for the soul for ya today.

"Music in itself is healing"

Remember the post on Finding Inspirational Music? (If you haven't checked it out yet you sure have to). Well one of the tips I gave on there was to check out what your friends are listening to. Yesterday Jamie from The Inspiration Studio shared a compilation she made of nice, calming inspirational music in her weekly series called Life's Soundtrack Series. Here it is:

Music is a HUGE part of my life and I am always on a quest of finding great music. While we are finding inspirational music together I think it would be great for everyone to share their favorite artist/band that they like to listen to. So far I have not met someone that don't like listening to music, if you happen to be someone like that please share that too, it would be nice to get to know you. Here is a music quote to go with the great music.

"I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music."
-Billy Joel

Can't wait to hear the great music you all listen to.

Not everything that can be counted counts

Here's a quote to remember while we are heading into the weekend. It is easy for us living in this demanding world to focus on the things that can be counted. This weekend, make sure you spend some time doing the things that can't be counted.

According to Haley and Lucas (the artists behind this piece), this quote by Albert Einstein hung in his Princeton office. No wonder he became a great man. This piece is sold on the Keep Calm Gallery for £20.

PlanBig - In union there is strength

Have you watched this video already? If you haven't I really think you should. It was posted by Eline on  inspirationblog.nl. She is not very active at the moment, but have some great inspirational stuff on there.

Back to the video. PlanBig is summed up as "a website build as a resource to help online and offline communities plan and achieve real world outcomes". It is to me a great tool that many of us could benefit of.

Maybe your one of those that have one of these ideas. If you are, don't wait much longer, head on to the website and start making that idea come to life. While your at it, share this video with everyone you know. We need to help each other in achieving our ideas, whether big or small. Don't forget that:

"In union there is strength"
-Aesop

I have a few ideas that I believe could do great on PlanBig. Do you?

Everything will be ok

Everything will be ok

In my part of the world we get Ascension day off, so I will be relaxing with my family tomorrow. Don't know about you, but this week has been kind of hectic for me. With a lot of things going through my head aside from all that is already keeping me busy. So this is the reminder I used to stay calm. Hope it will work for you as well.

The song 'Don't worry be happy' goes really good with the quote. Dancing like the guys in the music video will sure take ALL your worries away.

If you see beauty in everything.....

140.365 {explored}Door Handle

As someone grows to appreciate art, they can see the even the little ugly things others disregard as beautiful. Like these old doors. They might not be something people will buy, but there is some kind of beauty in them.

"If you see beauty in everything, you are an artist."

Not sure where I first heard this quote, but I am learning that it is so true as I look at artists around me.

Go fast!

Inspirational quote:
You will never stub your toe standing still. The faster you go, the more chance there is at stubbing your toe, but the more chance you have of getting somewhere.
